Beyond Snail Mail

{Facebook. Instagram. Pinterest. Skype. Twitter.  Foursquare.}

 

Day 6: today I am thankful for all of the social media options out there and the ability to keep in touch with anyone instantly no matter the distance! As much as I love sending snail mail, I also love instant gratification and all these sights do just that :) What makes them even better is they are not just websites but are also apps! Everything is at my fingertips--literally! I love apps and how much more fun and easy they make keeping in touch with everyone!

If it weren't for social media I wouldn't know who is "Facebook official", what topics are trending, who is checking in to their local voting poll {#election2012}, or what DIY project is next on my to-do list! Social media allows me to keep up to date with family living in the same state and even Andrew from a different country and time zone! I love everything that social media offers and I know I am not using them to their full potential or even all of the options that out there, but I enjoy the social media world that I live in! I can't wait to see what is next to come...

13 Months and Counting...

Day 5: today I am thankful for Andrew and our 13 months {today} together! He is my best friend, my rock, my shoulder to cry on, and my favorite person to wake up to {and that is saying lots} and come home to after work! Andrew has taught me the importance of patience, communication {with a big pond between us we had to figure this out quickly} and that my prince charming really has been out there I just had to search far and wide :) Andrew has accepted me for exactly who I am and always encourages me to better myself.  The distance hasn't always been easy, probably our biggest struggle, but we are learning how strong of a couple we truly are and that no distance or time will keep us from being together.

We definitely look forward to every visit and every Skype conversation and cherish every day and moment we share together!

When Andrew asked me to be his wife in June of 2012 and I couldn't have been a happier person, I truly found my one and only and can't wait to make a life together.  We will beat all odds but couldn't be where we are today without all the help, love and support of so many friends and family! We thank them for making time for us and going out of their way to make us feel welcome wherever we go!

I am thankful for all that Andrew has taught me, all that Andrew has given me and all the support and love that Andrew has shown me, unconditionally for the past 13 months! Here is to many more my love...
