Week in Review

It has been too long since my last post so...

how about a summary in pictures?!

I joined the "club" at work with {these} comfy, cute and flattering fleece  tops from Nordstrom.  Probably my favorite purchase in a long time

I signed up to be a Thirty-One consultant so I took some time last weekend to make myself familiar with all the tools and resources available to me.  Starbucks is the best place to make this happen, right?

Color makes me happy so even having to sort these was a welcomed task on a Monday.

The Lenten season began on Wednesday.  The church was decorated very simple but my first thought was, "how beautiful."  Can your appreciate the simple things in life?

There is something about holidays that always puts me in a good mood.  I might not have gotten to spend the day with my valentine but I had a great day with the ones I was around.

It is a four-day weekend for me and although I don't have many plans I am looking forward to down time and a break in routine. Have a great weekend, everyone!

Insta-Friday

 

I am excited about Insta-Friday.  Instagram is {hands down} my favorite app on my phone.  I am constantly taking pictures with my camera that is always in my pocket...my phone!  I can capture my daily happenings and enjoy other's with simple pictures.  My favorite.

Here is my week in pictures...

 It may have been a week early but I was ready to get my few Valentine decorations out.  I am not a big one for celebrating this holiday but I do really enjoy the hearts, xoxo and colors the holiday brings. I actually really enjoy decorating for all the holidays.  What is your favorite holiday to decorate for?

Saturday night I stayed in with a great movie and homemade popcorn {my favorite}.  Have you seen Pitch Perfect? If not, you really should check it out, well worth the time.

Sunday morning, while watching Pitch Perfect again, I grated soap for my homemade laundry soap.  To learn more about the process check out my post {here}.

Sunday night, I had dinner delivered from Mackenzie River using the services of Order-In.  It was my brother's last night in the Indy area and I was hoping to have him deliever to me.  Although it wasn't my server the service was great.  I enjoyed having a great dinner brought to me while I was in my comfy clothes.  If you are in the Indy area, you should check them out!

 I found this great recipe for Chia Seed Oatmeal and have been wanting to try it for weeks now.  I finally got around to making it and needless to say I loved it so much I made a different version every day and took it for lunch.  It was very filling, great tasting and super easy to put together.  Check out {this} site for more options!

Helped out at the freshman girls basketball game by being the ticket lady! This Saturday I will be helping with the swim sectionals.  

I love two-hour delays because I can have breakfast like this!

I make sure to take some quiet time each day to spend in reflection and with my Bible.  It all helps me to make sense of my crazy but beautiful life around me.
